“CHARLIE LIVING – Topping-out ceremony on March 9, 2018

The topping-out ceremony of "Charlie Living” took place by sunny weather at Zimmerstrasse 92-94 on March 9, 2018, close to the famous border crossing of Checkpoint Charlie. KREBS+KIEFER was the contractor for the structural design portion of the project. The topping-out festivities celebrated the struc-tural work completion of the first part of the building complex (Charlie 1 to 3) in the Mitte [central] district.

The building complex Charlie 1 is divided into four individual buildings. The smallest building (Building D) in the north of the plot is a two-storey building with a roof terrace; it will consist of six residential units, so-called town houses. The three other buildings (Buildings A to C) with eight floors will contain a mix of commercial space and rental and owner-occupied flats.

The entire area (approx. 33,220 m²) is located above a full basement and provides about 109 under-ground parking spaces for the future residents.
