Dresdner Stahlbaufachtagung (Dresden Steel Construction Conference) on 26 March 2015: Steel and composite structures in civil engineering and bridge construction
This year’s Dresdner Stahlbaufachtagung includes the key issues of multi-storey building in steel and composite construction, roof and wall systems in lightweight steel construction and bridge construction.
This year’s Dresdner Stahlbaufachtagung includes the key issues of multi-storey building in steel and composite construction, roof and wall systems in lightweight steel construction and bridge construction.
In addition to the development and application of European dimensioning and design standards, the individual contributions will present trends such as sustainability and life cycle assessments of supporting structures, or the re-dimensioning and repair of existing buildings, as well as the findings of current research projects. This includes, among other things, the dynamic behaviour of railway bridges with gravel beds, the application of building monitoring for the assessment of existing bridge constructions and the use of galvanising as corrosion protection for fatigued bridges with short or medium spans.
As in previous years, designated speakers will give presentations on their specialist topic and make their manuscripts available to the conference transcripts.
Prof Richard Stroetmann Dr. -Ing, Managing Director for KREBS+KIEFER Ingenieure, with his Institute for Steel and Wood Construction at the TU Dresden, is a co-organiser and is responsible for the topical organisation of the conference. He will welcome the participants and report on sustainability of steel and composite constructions in office buildings.
