FIDIC INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT USERS’ CONFERENCE in London
This year KREBS+KIEFER was once again represented at the FIDIC INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT USERS’ CONFERENCE in London on the 6th and 7th of December 2016.
This recent event is seen as the most im-portant in the series of FIDIC Contract Users’ Conferences held around the world. Construction companies, clients, lawyers and engineers from around the world as well as representatives of multilateral development banks and financial institutions, such as EBRD, WB and EIB, use this platform both for exchanging ideas and experiences as well as an opportunity for networking.

Our staff member, Mr Teklić, successfully passed the assessment to become a FIDIC Dispute Adjudicator as part of the one-year German FIDIC seminar in February 2010. Since then, he has worked on various international street-building projects abroad in Croatia, Bosnia and Macedonia as project manager and contract manager, which have enabled him to further build upon his FIDIC expertise over these 6 years that he has been deployed as a FIDIC engineer by KREBS+KIEFER on a range of large-scale projects.
FIDIC contracts involve both the FIDIC engineer as a central dispute resolution/mediation instrument as well as “DAB procedures” (Dispute Adjudication Board), which represent a form of arbitration and aim to promptly resolve disputes during the term of the project.
