Foundation stone laying for new vocational training and technology centre in Trier

The foundation stone of the new vocational training and technology centre of the Trier Chamber of Crafts was laid on 7 December 2016.

The sinking of a copper "time capsule", which contains building plans and contemporary history documents, marked the highlight of the solemn ceremony.

For almost 44 million euros, 400 workshop places and almost 200 places for apprentices, master craftsmen and advanced training participants have been created.

The project as the nation's first training institution for a Chamber of Crafts in passive house standard has a pilot character for buildings of other Chambers of Crafts in Germany.

The engineers of KREBS + KIEFER in Mainz were present in their role as implementers of the structural engineering planning.
