Ground-breaking ceremony for new judicial center in Bad Kreuznach
After several years of planning, construction work on this project officially began with the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony on the site at the General Rose Park industrial estate in Bad Kreuznach.
Many representatives from the worlds of politics and business joined those responsible for the project at the former conversion area for the ground-breaking ceremony on 28th November 2013. They included the chairperson of the CDU group in the state parliament Julia Klöckner, justice minister of Rheinland-Pfalz Jochen Hartloff and state secretary for finance Salvatore Barbaro.

In the new judicial center, judicial authorities that were previously spread over three locations will be brought together in an area of almost 9800 m². The 4-floor reinforced concrete skeleton structure with a full basement is expected to be ready for use in 2016.
The state-owned real estate and construction company (Landesbetrieb LBB), which provides real estate and construction services to the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, is responsible for the construction project and will rent the finished building to the state of Rheinland-Pfalz. The costs of the project are estimated at 30 million Euros.
This contract was won in a Europe-wide negotiation procedure in 2010 and is being jointly processed by KREBS+KIEFER Ingenieure in Mainz and Darmstadt.
