K+K patronage of tri-national course in Civil Engineering reaches successful conclusion
In October 2010, 24 students from Germany, France and Switzerland took up a joint course of studies in Civil Engineering in France (Université de Strasbourg), in Switzerland (Fachhochschule der Nordwestschweiz Muttenz) and in Germany (Hochschule Karlsruhe). The patron of the semester, which was named „Karl Culmann“ after the famous civil engineer, was Krebs und Kiefer Karlsruhe.
In the course of practical semesters, lectures and support for final theses, there was an intensive exchange of ideas and experience between KREBS+KIEFER and the students, especially in the third and last year of the course at Hochschule Karlsruhe.

Shortly before the end of the final semester, on 14th January 2014, there was another opportunity to meet for a guided tour of the site of the „Kombilösung Karlsruhe“, a major project to restructure inner-city tram traffic by constructing a tunnel under the city center. As part of a consortium, KREBS+KIEFER is responsible for construction supervision.
Led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jan Akkermann, lecturer at Hochschule Karlsruhe and Managing Director of KREBS+KIEFER Karlsruhe, the students and professors from the course were able to gain an impression of the progress of the work and the upcoming assembly of the tunnel driving machine. A social event officially concluded the seven-semester period of patronage.
KREBS+KIEFER wishes the graduates every success in their further training and in starting their careers!
