KREBS+KIEFER takes part in 2015 German Construction Engineering Day in Düsseldorf
The German Construction Engineering Day, with around 1,200 registered participants, took place on 23 and 24 April 2015 at the CCD Congress Center in Düsseldorf.
The German Construction Engineering Day, with around 1,200 registered participants, took place on 23 and 24 April 2015 at the CCD Congress Center in Düsseldorf.
The focus of the two-day congress was on technical construction solutions and developments. The organiser was Deutsche Beton- und Bautechnik-Verein E.V. (DBV). The theme this year was: "Cities and regions in flux – challenges for society and technology".
Representatives of employers, builders, construction companies, engineering and architectural offices, product manufacturers, and from the worlds of academia, administration and science all gave talks on different subjects in various specialist sessions and technical visits.
Companies and institutions were also represented in an extensive trade exhibition.
The evening of 23 April ended with a reception in convivial company on board the MS RheinFantasie. In the course of an extensive buffet, punctuated with musical accompaniment, it was possible to see Düsseldorf from out on the Rhine.
KREBS+KIEFER Managing Director Dr Hans-Gerd Lindlar was once again appointed to the DBV Board and took charge of chairing the "Strengthening the infrastructure" technical session.
Managing Director Roger Istel replaced Dr Jochen Kliver and spoke about our experience in redimensioning and strengthening existing bridges.
KREBS+KIEFER Managing Directors Susan Herrmann and Prof. Jan Akkermann were present as guests and followed the course of the interesting and successful event.
