Planning of standardised lock gates Baden-Württemberg
From 1921 to 1968, the river Neckar was developed into a federal waterway over a length of 203 km. At the time of the project, the 27 locks at the barrages were between 40 and 80 years old. All of them up to Stuttgart are double locks 110 m long and 12 m wide. Due to their age, most of these locks required a complete refurbishment.
