Deutsche Amphibolin-Werke: Inauguration of the new company head-quarters
Over the last three years, DAW SE (Deutsche Amphibolin-Werke) in Ober-Ramstadt has been building a new company headquarters for more than 170 employees. The first stage of this extensive project was selecting a suitable architect, and the decision was made in 2012 to use the architectural office Brückner + Brückner.
KREBS+KIEFER was responsible for project management and since then has supported DAW SE with this and other projects, such as the renovation of the directly adjoining existing building, dating from the 1960s, and the building of a new logistics centre, including support with the high-level storage facil-ities, planning and on-site supervision.

On Wednesday, 21 June 2017, DAW SE, together with its employees, the companies involved with the project and city council officials, celebrated the official inauguration of the new company headquarters in Ober-Ramstadt.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the new office, conference and seminar rooms, Daniel Weber, Supply Chain Director at DAW SE, had the following to say: “We have paid increasing attention to ener-gy efficiency and sustainability. Amongst other things, triple-glazed windows and geothermal energy now ensure that the primary energy requirements are as required by the German Energy Saving De-cree and thus ensure certification in accordance with the gold standard of the DGNB”.
As an external construction department, KREBS+KIEFER supported the client’s project management throughout the planning and building process and took on important tasks for the client in all stages of the project: organisation, quality, budgeting, deadlines and contractual framework conditions. Throughout the process, a project-specific balancing of the magic triangle of costs, deadlines and quali-ty was taken into account.
An independent view of the project ensured that unfavourable planning and changes were identified and avoided. The services we provided also included providing support during negotiations and dealing with additional requests and deficiencies.
Compared with the forecast budget of approximately EUR 22.5 million (net), an acceptable increase of 6.5% resulted as a result of the customer's wishes during the planning and implementation stages. Deadlines and quality requirements were complied with no deviations.
