Tunnel und Bahnhof Eppstein

As part of a modification to the route of the existing line 3610 from Frankfurt to Eschhofen a new railway tunnel had to be built. The nearby Eppstein railway station also had to be adapted to the new route. In 2018, Eppstein was named station of the year by the pro-rail organisation Allianz pro Schiene.
